BCRA team together with the UNWE participated in a discussion "5G: Smart Transformation and Growth"
BCRA – Credit Rating Agency (BCRA), together with the University of National and World Economy (UNWE), participated in a meeting organized by the Communications Regulation Commission: "5G: Smart Transformation and Growth", held on November 19, 2019, at the National Palace of Culture, Hall 6.
On behalf of the BCRA participated, Mr. Christo Mihailovsky, Executive Director, Dr. Kiril Grigorov, Procurator, and the economic analysts Radostina Stamenova and Kalina Dimitrova. On behalf of the University of National and World Economy participated Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev , Rector and Director of the Institute of Economics and Politics, and Dr. Petkan Iliev. Dr. Iliev gave a presentation on the topic, which has been jointly developed by the teams of BCRA and UNWE.

Mr. Rosen Zhelyazkov, Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications;
Mr. Laszlo Thoth, Head of Public Policy for Europe, at the International Association of Mobile Operators.
The main topics of discussion were the macroeconomic aspects of the impact of 5G on the Bulgarian economy, the impact of 5G on health; international practice in the implementation of 5G, and related policy development and harmonization.
The panel discussions mainly involved the prospects for the implementation of 5G in Bulgaria and the challenges ahead. It was emphasized that technology is key to the development of the so-called Industry 4.0, as well as to Agriculture 4.0, and municipalities, agriculture and energy are among the sectors where the 5G network will have the strongest impact.
The participation of the BCRA team in this discussion-meeting is an important step towards the development of the topic of Industry 4.0 influence and implementation.
